The Medical Education & Research Institute of Nevada (MERIN) is an independent, not-for-profit medical education and research facility located in Henderson, Nevada, minutes from the famed Las Vegas Strip. Each year, thousands of surgeons from across the US and around the world come to MERIN to learn new surgical procedures and test innovative surgical instruments and techniques, which can result in improved health care delivery; less invasive operations, improved surgical outcomes; shorter patient recovery time, and the reduction of post-surgical infection.
The venue through many of the most revolutionary medical devices are tested and refined, MERIN is a world-class facility that has quickly gained recognition among physicians, researchers and medical device companies.
MERIN was developed by physicians for physicians. Founded in 2004 by Dr. Michael Crovetti, MERIN is the only center of its kind in Nevada and the largest in the Western United States. As an internationally renowned orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Crovetti saw the need for a major training facility in Las Vegas. The result of his forward thinking is a center which physicians are calling the "best in the nation."
